SUMMARY:Celebrating Sangharakshita & Roz's Ordination
DESCRIPTION:Celebrating Sangharakshita's life and marking Roz's Ordination\
 nMonday 25th August (bank holiday)\nDoors from 10\n10.30am - 4pm\nLed by D
harmashalin and Singhamati\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n'Going for refuge is primary\,
lifestyle is secondary\, but not unimportant.' \n\nThis is one of the mos
t significant realisations Sangharakshita had about Buddhism\, why? Becaus
e it breaks the pattern of life-style elitism that had characterised the B
uddhist tradition. He saw that everyone is able to bring Buddhism into t
heir lives as fully as they wish to.  We'll be marking the 100th annivers
ary of his birth with an exploration of this aphorism.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThe m
orning will include meditation\, input and discussion.\n\nShared lunch fro
m 1-2.\n\nIn the afternoon we will be ritually and collectively witnessing
and celebrating Roz Goddard as she leaves to be Ordained. What better way
to mark the birth of the founder of this community than witnessing the fl
ame of the dharma being transmitted.  If you can only come for Roz's send
off please make sure you arrive before 2pm.\n\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nSangharakshit
a's Birthday is on Tuesday 26 August. We will also be doing a lunchtime pu
ja to mark the official day. Those who can make it along are very welcome\
, details here.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nEvent image generate with AI
