Dharma Night: The Buddha’s teachings for everyone
The Bodhisattva Ruciraketu has a dream: Buddhas appear, golden light appears, there is a drum beat, the drum of the Buddha Dharma. He awakes from this epic dream with a great aspiration to practice the Dharma which leads him to confessing all that holds him back. After this sincere and extensive period of confession he expresses his rejoicings!
The journey described here may sound familiar as it echoes the moods we go through in the Seven Fold Puja. Singhamati hopes you will join her for an inspiring, and perhaps a little challenging, series on the exploration of this great sutra. Together we can explore why aspiration leads to confession and on to rejoicing and will dive deeply into the significance of confession in Buddhism. Hope to see you there!
