 g: Shantavira - The story of my dharma life\, in conversation with Maitris
 ara\n\nShantavira was ordained over 40 years ago and has spent most of his
  adult life working around the movement. He is someone many of you will no
 t know\, though you will have benefitted from his actions - he quietly and
  generously gives his time and energy in the background\, here in Birmingh
 am and in the order\, and is often mentioned in the acknowledgements of ma
 ny Windhorse Publication books\, due to his work in editing. His name very
  appropriately means 'hero of peace'.\n\nCome along to this Dharma night t
 o hear some peacefully heroic stories and celebrate such generosity of spi
 rit.\n\n(Please note - this dharma night was previously advertised as the 
 summer soiree. Change of plan to make the most of welcoming back Akashanag
 a on 24/07! We will have lots of celebration then instead.)\n\n___________
 ___\n\nEvery 7 weeks there will be a new theme\, along with pujas and gues
 t speakers. Each session is stand alone\, so you don't have to come to eve
 ry one in the series.\n\nNo need to book. No charge – please make a don
 ation.\n\nDharma night runs from 7:15 - 9:15pm every Thursday evening. Doo
 rs open at 7pm for a chance to chat and have tea before hand. Open to anyo
 ne who is familiar with the mindfulness of breathing and metta bhavana med
 itations.
