Living in the Light of Death
led by Abhayadhara, Danabandhu and friends from their Chapter
On Parinirvana Day we celebrate the ‘complete’ or ‘final’ Nirvana of the Buddha, which took place when he died at Kusinara.
But what actually is ‘parinirvana’ and what significance does it have for our lives and Buddhist practice?
During the day, we will be evoking the last days of the Buddha as well as inquiring into what it means to live one’s life in the light of death. There will be talks, discussion, meditation and ritual.
Please bring vegetarian lunch to share
Event open to all who have completed an introductory course
You’re welcome to attend for just the morning or just the afternoon
