SUMMARY:Going Deeper: Free Time
DESCRIPTION:Going Deeper led by Abhayadhara\nFree time: an exploration of t
 ime from a Buddhist perspective\n\nTuesdays 4 March - 8 April\nSessions ru
n from 7.15-9.15pm with a tea break in the middle.\nDoors open at 7pm\, fe
el free to arrive early to settle in.\n‘Time is a fire which consumes me
 \, but I am that fire’ - Jorge Luis Borges\n\nWhatever time is\, it’s
a mystery\, and this course is an invitation to explore that mystery furth
er\, from a Buddhist perspective. Based on Vajragupta’s book of the same
title\, we will look at the ways in which we create our experience of tim
e\, as well as the liberating teaching that time is not something we are
‘in’ but something we are.\n\nBOOK YOUR PLACE HERE\n\nWho is this cour
se for? \nOnce you have learnt the basics on our Introductory Courses you
can continue exploring Buddhism and Meditation in Going Deeper. You don
’t need to think of yourself as a Buddhist\, just someone who’s intere
sted. This may be your first dive in\, you may have prior experience of Bu
ddhism/Meditation\, or you may have been coming to the centre for months o
r years and something in this theme speaks to you.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nAbout Goi
 ng Deeper:\nEach series\, on a particular theme\, is designed to support y
ou in deepening your understanding and practice of Buddhist ideas and medi
tation. Going Deeper can help you apply Buddhist teachings in your life\,
developing greater mindfulness\, positive emotion and wisdom. With greater
awareness and kindness we can transform ourselves and the way we relate t
o other people and the world\, making our lives more honest\, meaningful a
nd enjoyable.\n\nAll our classes and events are run by donation\, there is
no fixed fee. Please watch this video to understand more deeply what th

SUMMARY:Dharma Night
DESCRIPTION:Dharma Night: The Buddha's teachings for everyone\nThemes from
The Sutra of Golden Light with Dharmashalin\n\n\nThe Bodhisattva Ruciraket

reat aspiration to practice the Dharma which leads him to confessing all t
hat holds him back. After this sincere and extensive period of confession
he expresses his rejoicings!\nThe journey described here may sound familia
r as it echoes the moods we go through in the Seven Fold Puja. Singhamati
hopes you will join her for an inspiring\, and perhaps a little challengin
g\, series on the exploration of this great sutra. Together we can explore
why aspiration leads to confession and on to rejoicing and will dive deep
ly into the significance of confession in Buddhism. Hope to see you there!
 \n\n\nWeek One: The Bodhisattvas Dream\n\n______________\n\nEvery 7 weeks
there will be a new theme\, along with pujas and guest speakers. Each sess

SUMMARY:Dharma Night
DESCRIPTION:Dharma Night: The Buddha's teachings for everyone\nThemes from
The Sutra of Golden Light with Dharmashalin\n\n\nThe Bodhisattva Ruciraket
u has a dream: Buddhas appear\, golden light appears\, there is a drum bea
t\, the drum of the Buddha Dharma. He awakes from this epic dream with a g
reat aspiration to practice the Dharma which leads him to confessing all t
hat holds him back.
\n\n\n\nWeek Three: Confession and the Oppressions\n\n______________\n\nEv
ery 7 weeks there will be a new theme\, along with pujas and guest speaker
 s. Each session is stand alone\, so you don't have to come to every one in
the series.\n\nNo need to book. No charge – please make a donation.\n\
nDharma night runs from 7:15 - 9:15pm every Thursday evening. Doors open a
t 7pm for a chance to chat and have tea before hand. Open to anyone who is
familiar with the mindfulness of breathing and metta bhavana meditations.

SUMMARY:Dharma Night
DESCRIPTION:Dharma Night: The Buddha's teachings for everyone\n\nLiberating
Gems from the Pali Canon\nwith Balajit and friends\nThe Pali Canon is a t
ried and tested treasure chest of teachings to purify our hearts and trans
form human suffering into inconceivable freedom. In this series\, we will
pick some of the brightest gems from this vast collection of  over 2000 i
ndividual teachings. Each night\, through a range of speakers\, we  will
explore a different text\, in a practical and pragmatic way\, to see
how it  can bring a liberating light into our lives today\, 2000 years af
ter they were first written down.\n\n24 April: Seeing Things As They Reall
 y Are - Awakening into Abundance \nWith Balajit\n \nOn this opening nigh
t of the series\, we will be drawing from the very first teaching the budd
ha gave - the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta: Setting the Wheel of Dhamma in
Motion. Here the buddha proclaims the essentials of  what it is we need
to move away from\, and what we need to move towards\, to liberate ourselv
es from  mental and emotional anguish and discover the limitless\, boundl
ess qualities of the awakening heart. This text really gets to the heart o
f the buddhist path. On the night we will be hearing from the sutta\, and
exploring how we can respond to its teachings in our meditation and everyd
ay lives.\n \n\n______________\n\nEvery 7 weeks there will be a new theme
\, along with pujas and guest speakers. Each session is stand alone\, so y
ou don't have to come to every one in the series.\n\nNo need to book. No c
 harge – please make a donation.\n\nDharma night runs from 7:15 - 9:15pm
every Thursday evening. Doors open at 7pm for a chance to chat and have t
ea before hand. Open to anyone who is familiar with the mindfulness of bre
 athing and metta bhavana meditations.

SUMMARY:Online Lunchtime Dharma Class
DESCRIPTION:WAKE UP! The underlying message of the Buddha\nTimeless questio
ns are always with us: What is the meaning of life? Surely there must be m
ore to life than this? And at times of crisis\, maybe these questions are
more alive than usual.\n\nThe Buddha also asked these questions 2500 years
ago\, in relation to old age\, sickness and death. This led to his great
quest to be free\, liberated\, awakened. Finally he broke through and beca
me enlightened\, a Buddha. What did he discover and how is it still releva
nt to us?\n\nEach week\, join Shuddhakirti to explore a teaching of the Bu
ddha through a short guided meditation\, talk\, discussion and questions.
You're welcome to come along if you are new to Buddhism or more experience
 d. This class is open to all.\n\nGreat if you live far away from the Buddh
ist centre or looking for a little bit of Dharma to break up your day.\n\n

om 1.\n\nNo charge - please make a donation if you can.\n\nClick here to j
