Spring Weekend Retreat at Adhisthana
Fri 27 – Sunday 29 March
with Dharmashalin and Hridayagita
Encountering the Elements in the Body
This weekend retreat explores meditation through the lens of the Great Ghosts (Mahābhūtas) — the four elements of Earth, Water, Fire and Air.
Drawing together the Buddha’s teaching with our direct bodily experience of the ever-changing play of sensation, we will explore how the qualities of the four elements can be met within ourselves and the world.
At the heart of this exploration is Vairocana, the Buddha of luminous space (Ākāśa). Within this infinite space, the elements are free to arise, transform and dissolve. Through meditation, gentle movement, reflection and shared inquiry, we are invited into a direct experience of the elements: a way of meeting life as a living, dynamic process, full of infinite possibility.
Open to anyone who has learned Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana from Worcester or Birmingham Buddhist Centre and surrounding areas
